Call for Speakers

We’re thrilled to announce that WordCamp Karachi 2018 is officially accepting speaker applications!

Last date to apply for speaker is 14-07-2018

Why speak?

Presenting at WordCamp takes some work but is very rewarding. You get to share your passion, convince people you’re worth hiring and help everyone learn about WordPress, all at the same time. Speakers also receive free admission to WordCamp.

Karachi is the heart of Pakistan, It has everything from Beaches, Seaview, Museums, Malls, Parks, Movie theaters to Bays that attract speakers and attendees from across the country and even the world. We’re looking to build a program packed with amazing presentations which reflects the incredible diversity of the WordPress community, and we want you to be a part of it!

What we’re looking for?

WordCamp Karachi would like to showcase the best of WordPress and the WordPress Community. We’re particularly interested in hearing from those who have used WordPress in interesting, innovative, and significant ways. Whether the open source software was used to deliver something technically amazing, or whether WordPress was the foundation for creating something meaningful in the community, we want to know about it. We’re also looking for dynamic and versatile speakers to talk about how they use WordPress to grow their business, develop advanced plugins, tell their stories, and much much more. Everybody has a unique WordPress story to tell, and we want to hear yours.

Presentations

The ideal speaker has a WordPress-related topic they are passionate about and that they can present in 10 or 45 minutes with attractive slides and detailed, coherent explanations. Designers, bloggers, businesses, and developers are all welcome to apply! Talks can be in English or Urdu. Your topic should be specific to WordPress.

Show us what you’ve made with WordPress and explain how you did it, or what you learned in the process. Give us concrete examples: code snippets, 10 important lessons you learned, specific advice on how to avoid problems, etc. Nothing is too hardcore, advanced, simple or beginner-level. We’re looking for diversity.

WorkShops

Have a great idea for a WordPress-related activity, could be a development of a plugin or child theme or shiny tiny Gutenberg block 😉

Already excited about the workshop. Hope to acquire good knowledge and skilled people for networking.

Do you organize or conduct WP training for newbies in conjunction with page developer, like Elementor?
